Ken Illman

Ken started his racing career in his home country of South Africa. While racing motocross, his main transportation to work was his race bike. A pioneer of South African motocross and BMX, Ken later opened "The Fox Shop". A motorcycle dealership that sold bikes and offered parts and service. Ken built the first BMX track in SA and even sponsored a BMX team. Experienced in motocross track construction, he built a national motocross track at the renowned F1 track, Kyalami GP Circuit. Ken immigrated to the United States in 1982 to compete in motocross and off-road racing. He quickly found himself in the San Bernardino Mountains and realized it was perfect training ground for off-road racing.
